About Planamoto
Hi, I'm Spencer
I built Planamoto because planning a group motorbike tour with mates always turned into the same mess: a WhatsApp thread of half-decided routes, a shared spreadsheet of hotels that only one person read, someone paying for petrol in euros and someone else settling in francs, and a checklist that lived in three different drafts. I wanted one place where the group's plan actually lived — and stayed the same shape whether you opened it on a phone at a petrol station in the Alps or on a laptop the night before you set off.
The clearest test of the tool was the 2026 Grand Tour — four bikes, twelve days, five countries, and the great Swiss passes from Fiesch. Planamoto ran the itinerary, split the expenses across three currencies, tracked the pre-ride checks, and printed cleanly for the tank bag. The ride report shows what the trip looked like from the road.
What I ride
Group tours across Europe, mostly the Alps and the Black Forest, with the same group of mates — Aliyah, Naveeda and Toby. The guides on this site are written from trips we've actually done rather than a desk in London.
Editorial
I write every guide on this site and update them when things change on the road: new toll systems, new legal kit requirements, new fuel-price data. If a fact looks stale, that's on me — email support@planamoto.com and I'll fix it.
